Mom – to – Mom sale:

On Saturday May 25th I set up a booth at the Mom – to – Mom sale in Carleton Place, Ontario, to raise funds and awareness for Free The Children, the charity chosen by the pageant.  I met some absolutely amazing people, and educated them on the charity!  It’s pretty cool that it was made up by a 12 year old boy from Ontario!.  There was tons of wonderfully fun things to do such as shop for clothing, toys, food, and even a play center for the kids!  Darth Vader and Princess Leih were even there to entertain and take pictures with the kids (and kids at heart)! I really tried my hardest to teach people about Free the Children, and had lots of fun doing it too!  The money raised is just a bonus! 🙂

Shoe Shopping:

Today, Sunday May 26th my mom, Godmother, and myself all went out to Ottawa to look for the perfect shoes for my evening gown for Nationals!  We drove all over the city and went to countless shoe stores looking for “the shoes”!  After about the millionth (more like 6th) store we went into, I found them!  I found THE shoes!  It was a really special moment I had with my Godmother because for her wedding her grandmother bought her shoes and she wanted to do something special for me so she bought my shoes for the pageant. She fell in love with them as much as I did!! They are perfect!

So, in conclusion, I have had a fantastic weekend getting ready for the Miss Teen Canada World 2013 pageant and can’t wait to do it all over again next weekend and the next and the next!
